. I started in poms in the mid 80's with my then
partner the late Bob Kennedy, I got the idea for my kennel name from the film Witches of Eastwick after having a
dream in which I whelped 3 bitch puppies, a black, orange and cream. We started
with high aspirations of color breeding and soon learned that it was a much more
difficult task to master, After several 3rd and 4th place ribbons at dog shows, we attended
the Astro Series of Dogs show in Houston where we met some incredible people; the
late great Sue Goddard, Olga Baker, Cheryl Jackson and my other mother Erika
Moureau. Erika gave me the best advice to take my pets home, fix them and start
over. I listened, learned and began a love affair with Erika as my mentor . I
purchased Texican's Misdemeanor and Ch. Texican's Minority and we were on our
way. Minority was a multiple group placing black bitch. Soon I acquired Ch
Bev Nor's Glen Iris Excaliber from the remarkable Dr, Cheryl Jackson and BISS Ch
Tim-Sue's Elictric Lights from Sue Goddard, who I showed as a special winning several
group wins. I also dabbled in Japanese Chin around this time purchasing BISA BISS
Ch Accerber's Tennessee Tuxedo ROMS, who we gave to our dear friends Dale and
Jane Martenson which in return got BISA,National BISS CH Eastwyck's
Evil Doings "Damian" ROMS. Our original stud dog was given to us by Erika and
remains one of my all time favorites CH Tomboy's Pico Chico. Our first home bred
Ch Eastwycks pico Negrito was a black son that finished on the San Antonio
weekend under Ken Griffin. Our bitch special was "Evan"s first daughter BISS Group
winner CH Texican's Better Believe It.'BB'". She was the light of my life and one
of the nicest bitches I have ever seen. Paps,
skye terriers and a whippet were several other breeds shown as Champions.
After a few years away from dog shows, I decided I
wanted a new special dog and with my new partner Kevin Hebert. I was able to
get Sue Goddard, a true friend and treasure, to allow me to acquire BISA, BISS,
CH.Tim-Sue's Flying HIgh, HOF. GC. "Cosmo" , shown by myself and Bob Kennedy, who we went on to rank #6 in the
nation with multiple Best in Shows.
